I hope all the Baldy Racers are getting excited about the coming ski season. Opening day at Mt. Baldy is December 12th. Christmas break is Dec 19th to Jan 3rd. We will start training on January 3rd from 9:30 to 12:30. The South Zone race is at Mt Baldy on January 30th. Take a look at the Baldyracers calendar posted in the links section.

Ok Zone Race at Mt Baldy January 31st

Just a quick note for the upcoming race. There is a race notice now posted on the BC Alpine Calendar. If you go to the link listed on the left of this blog and click on Ok Zone race listed for January 31st you will be able to open the race notice in Word.
To summarize, the race starts at 10am with inspection at 9:30. E1s race dual glalom and E2s race single glalom after the E1s are done. There will be a barbeque lunch available and awards at 3pm. We need parents to help out and those wishing to do so should contact Annika at baldyracers@gmail.com

Great Turn Out on First Day of Training

We had our first training day on Sunday January 5th and everything went very smoothly. We have a great group of kids, with great numbers in every age group. It looks like our numbers will be about 20 kids, but if you know of anyone else interested please send them out this coming Sunday (January11th) at 9:30 am.
Our training day began with a warm-up and free skiing and then finished off with some brushes for practicing turn shape. The kids seem very eager to get into the gates. We just need a little more snow.
